About Me

My photo
Paula Taylor
I got started by growing up with a father that was always in 'The Shop.' The Shop is a third garage at the back of my childhood home. It's just a small single car garage, but my father has it full of power tools and wood to this day! I watched him build and change our house from dated and ugly to beautiful, and all the while I helped. My mother was a seamstress and watching her work and see what she created for her clients and for me was always inspiring. This is what spurred my creativity and led to what is now my obsession! I LOVE renovation and making things beautiful, it is my passion in life. Once I had a home of my own the passion became very clear to me. My signature colors are blues, greens, and grays. I love using them and do so quite often. Everything just came together for me in the middle of renovating my own spaces. I found a paisley fabric that I just fell in love with and I picked a deep blue green color out of that fabric to use to paint my front door...Peacock. With those colors being my favorite it just made sense and seemed to fit so well, and that is how The Peacock Door came about.
